Goshawks / Azores

While in England, we were invited to go 

hunting by Leon Mulholland with his son,

Jak. The birds were two Goshawks,

a chamber raised female (Jak's), and an

imprint (Leon's), also a female. To flush

the rabbits they brough along a ferret as

well.

It was our first time watching Goshawks

being flown and hunted and the experience

was brilliant. We enjoyed ourselves quite

a bit and damn! are Goshawks quick off the 

glove...

Durante nuestra estancia en Inglaterra, 

fuimos invitados por parte de Leon Mullholland

y su hijo, Jak, a acompañarlos a una cacería.

Las aves en esta ocasión fueron dos Azores,

una hembra de cría natural y otra, hembra

también, improntada. 

Para sacar la presa, llevaron un hurón.

Era la primera vez que veiamos volar y cazar

Azores, así como tambien la primera vez que

veiamos trabajar a un hurón.

La experiencia fue increíble y ¡vaya! qué

rápido son los Azores saliendo del guante...

Rabbit burroughs / Las Madrigueras de Conejo

The hunting grounds / Los terrenos de cacería

After flushing a few rabbits and a few close

 flights, the first rabbit was caught.

 /

 Después de algunos vuelos cercanos 

a agarrar presa, el primer conejo fue capturado. 

This last rabbit of the season for Jak

was caught in mid-air after trying to jump

over the water. It was an amazing flight 

to say the least and both Goshawk and the 

rabbit landed on the water. 

 /

 Éste conejo el último de de la temporada 

para Jak, fué capturado en el aire tratando de 

brincar el agua. Fue un vuelo increíble por 

decir poco, y tanto el halcón como 

el conejo aterrizaron en el agua.

A very long and very close flight. / Un vuelo muy

     largo y cercano a agarrar.

 This rabbit headed for the brush but didn't escape...

/

Éste conejo se dirgía a esconderse en el matorral,

pero no logró escapar...
